This Privacy Policy explains how Pro Fitness ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Pro Fitness mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect:
- Your email address and password (if you sign up with email/password)
- Your name and email address (if you sign in with Google)
- Your name and email address (if you sign in with Apple, subject to Apple's own privacy controls, including the option to hide your email)
Health and fitness data. To provide the App's core features, we collect data you enter directly, including:
- Food and calorie log entries
- Workout sessions and durations
- Personal health and fitness goals
Photos and images. If you upload a profile photo or images associated with your logs, these are stored via our image hosting provider (Cloudinary).
Automatically collected information. We may collect basic technical information such as device type, operating system, and app usage/crash data to help us maintain and improve the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To provide core app functionality — calorie tracking, workout logging, and goal tracking
- To send transactional emails, such as password resets or account verification (via Resend)
- To maintain the security and integrity of the App
- To improve and troubleshoot the App
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each processes certain data on our behalf, subject to their own privacy policies:
- Google Sign-In — for account authentication
- Sign in with Apple — for account authentication
- Cloudinary — for image storage and delivery
- Resend — for sending transactional emails
- Neon (PostgreSQL) — for secure database hosting of your account and app data
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure, encrypted infrastructure provided by our hosting and database partners. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and health data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 31 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or security purposes.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- You can access, update, or correct your data at any time within the App.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us (see Section 9) or using the in-app account deletion option, if available.
- If you are located in the EEA, UK, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA, including the right to request a copy of your data or object to certain processing.
7. Children's Privacy
Pro Fitness is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
